WHAT IS AN ONLINE DEGREE PROGRAM? An online degree program is a group of classes that you complete using a computer in order to earn a degree. There are many degree programs offered through colleges and technical schools that are online. You can earn an associate’s, bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree. Online degree programs aver very similar to degree programs offered in traditional classroom settings except that all class work is completed at home. Once you have completed an assignment, you would send it to your instructor who will then grade you on your performance. Depending on the degree program, you may be asked to complete groups assignments, participate in online classroom discussions, and take tests to prove that you have a firm grasp of what is being taught.
